Depending on where your plant is sitting, you’re dealing with a completely different beast. Maybe it’s 110V in the States, 480V for heavy industrial zones, or 575V if you’re up in Canada. It changes everything about how the lamp is built—right down to how thick the tungsten filament needs to be. Here’s the thing: a 110V lamp has to pull a lot more current to hit the same wattage as a 480V lamp. That’s why for the big, high-wattage setups, we lean toward higher voltages. It keeps the amperage low, which means your wiring doesn’t get stressed and you don’t have to worry about voltage drops when your cables are running long distances. Get this wrong, and you’re looking at two bad options: you either fry the filament the second you flip the switch, or you just never hit the temperature you need to actually anneal the part. Neither is a great day at the office. Built to take a beating We use high-purity quartz glass because these lamps go through a lot of thermal shock. They heat up and cool down fast. The best part? These are drop-in replacements. We can tweak the length and wattage to fit the space you already have. If you need maximum shortwave penetration, go with clear quartz. If your materials need a different spectrum, we can coat them for you. A couple of things to keep in mind High-voltage lamps are powerhouses. They pack a massive amount of heat into a small area, which is great for speeding up your cycle times. But there’s a trade-off. All that heat puts a lot of pressure on your reflectors and housing. You’ll want to double-check that your cooling fans and vents can actually move that air out of there. Before you start wiring everything up, we’ll give you the exact wattage and voltage ratings.
