The trick to long tubes
Here’s the thing: when you make a heating element that long, physics starts to fight you. You deal with voltage drops and the tubes wanting to warp from the heat. We handle this by using high-wattage quartz tubes and getting really specific with how the filament is wound. We tweak the voltage so the middle of that 2-meter span stays just as hot as the ends. You get a steady, even heat across the entire sheet of glass. Simple as that.
Built for the real world
We don’t just care about the heat; we care about the hardware. If you put a long tube in horizontally, it wants to bow. To stop that, we use reinforced quartz glass that holds its shape. We also use heavy-duty connectors because the last thing you need is a terminal burning out in the middle of a shift. Plus, we design these to fit into the space you already have. You shouldn’t have to tear apart your entire kiln chassis just to upgrade your heating.
A couple of things to keep in mind
Longer lamps pack a lot of heat into one area. Because of that, you’ve got to make sure your cooling system can keep up. If the airflow around the lamp housings is sluggish, your electrical leads might overheat. It’s a trade-off, but it’s an easy fix if you plan for it. And we know things break. It happens. That’s why we laid out the wiring so you can swap a burnt-out tube quickly. You won’t have to dismantle the whole heating bank. You just pop the old one out, put the new one in, and get back to work.
